All the Red Carpet Looks From the 2025 WNBA Draft

Just over a week after the March Madness championship ended in a UConn victory, we have more women’s basketball excitement on the (very near) horizon: the 2025 WNBA Draft.

UConn’s star player Paige Bueckers is among the aspiring professionals headed to tonight’s draft at The Shed in New York City. (She, along with other WNBA-hopefuls kicked off the morning strong by lighting the Empire State Building.) Bueckers is expected to be the evening’s first pick, drafted to the Dallas Wings. But, while many eyes will be on Bueckers, there are plenty more WNBA-hopefuls to keep tabs on this evening (and on the court): Hailey Van Lith of TCU, Georgia Amoore of Kentucky, and Kiki Iriafen of USC are just a few of the players we’re expecting to see at The Shed.

Last year’s draft at the Brooklyn Academy of Music inducted Caitlin Clark, Cameron Brink, and Vogue cover star Angel Reese into the WNBA. Not only were we in awe of their talents, we were also impressed by their fashion prowess. Clark was dressed by Prada in a white skirt set with a rhinestone top for the occasion, while Reese opted for a metallic silver hooded Bronx and Banco dress.

This year’s class followed in suit. While some draftees kept it classic, others were more experimental. Aziaha James went hardware-heavy, her short suit laden with safety pins, chains, and pearls. Meanwhile, Saniya Rivers used her purse to send a message, “The WNBA been poppin” painted on her bag. One early fashion standout came from Amoore, dressed in a black Honor the Gift skirt suit with floral embroiders—styled for the occasion by none other than Russell Westbrook. “This has never happened before—no athlete has ever dressed another athlete for a draft, let alone an NBA player designing for a WNBA Draft,” the Denver Nuggets point guard told Vogue’s Leah Faye Cooper.
