The Colts hold the 45th overall pick in this year’s NFL draft. Here is a look back at the last 10 selections at that draft slot.
The Indianapolis Colts will enter the 2025 NFL draft with seven selections in total, including the 45th overall pick in the second round.
Of course, previous picks at 45th overall by other teams have no bearing on who the Colts pick or how that selection turns out. But it is interesting to see the caliber of players that have come from this specific spot in the NFL draft in recent years.
As it pertains to the Colts, of course, what happens in the first round will impact how they approach the second round, but tight end, linebacker, the offensive line, and the defensive line are positions that could all be in play here.
Here are the last 10 selections to be taken at 45th overall in the NFL draft.
2024: Packers – LB Edgerrin Cooper
Cooper had a highly impactful rookie year for the Packers, which included being named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week twice and the NFC’s Rookie of the Month in December.
2023: Lions – S Brian Branch
Branch is a one-time Pro Bowler and has already become one of the better nickel defenders in the NFL. He’s generated 29 pass deflections and has seven interceptions.
