Ahead, the Moosgaard sisters share their looks for a busy week in Copenhagen, biking around town in kitten heels, taking meetings in their office, and popping into their flagship on Vognmagergade 9—never appearing too over or underdressed, always in the pieces that make them feel like their truest selves.
The Everday Office Uniform
For a full day at the office, you’ll always find Amalie and Cecilie in some version of jeans. Here, Amalie is wearing a Skall studio sweater, white jean, and her trusty old Chanel flats. “I love a white jean for spring—it’s so perfect, she says.” She’s styled it here with a silver buckle belt to “break up the outfit,” a silver cuff, and a long necklace—one of their new Moda designs—to add interest. Neither play favorites when it comes to metals, sharing a love for both gold and silver-toned accents—but Amalie confesses that she doesn’t like mixing metals. “It can ruin the outfit!” To avoid the clash, she’ll sometimes leave her watch (a 1982 vintage gold Cartier Tank with a black leather strap) at home. Even when a board meeting is in the diary, Cecilie says, “we like showing up in our jeans.” To give her look some polish, she’ll style hers with a classic black blazer, dainty kitten heels, and complete the look with jewelry details. Both share an appreciation for Scandinavian brands—and naturally resonate with designs from emerging and independent, women-owned business like their own. Skall Studio, Toteme, Birrot, Home of Hai, and the Amsterdam-based Flore Flore are a few mainstays in their wardrobe.
Day-to-Night Dressing—Monday or Friday
“I spent a year thinking about these capri pants from Birrot,” Amalie says of this day-to-night look which she’d wear on a day she has a dinner or event after work (and which Cecilie jumped in to joke that she would never wear.) She said first spotted these Birrot capris on a showgoer last summer during Copenhagen Fashion Week, and her and Cecilie chased her down to find out who had designed them. “I generally dress for all day,” she says, adding that she might just switch up her jewelry and accessories choices to make the look feel more intentional and appropriate for evening. Here, she paired the capris with a classic cinched-waist Róhe blazer and Manolo Blahnik heeled mules—for a more relaxed weekend take, she says she might style them with flip-flops and a T-shirt or button-down, but never sneakers, which would read too casual. Completing her look is Lié Studio’s new Cleo necklace, a choker-style that’s one of her personal favorites from the exclusive five-piece Moda Operandi drop and featuring a black onyx pendant inspired by the vintage clip-ons their grandmother wore: “it’s a standout piece that looks great with an open neckline.”
Easy Polish for Mid-Week To-Dos
This is another go-to outfit for Amalie when she want to be comfortable in the office but still look put together, consisting of a low-rise pencil skirt from Toteme and a loosely-fitted polo from Peoples of a Cashmere (a Danish brand), as well as a slim belt from Lié Studio “to make it a bit more interesting.” “Whenever I have a bad hair day, I’ll do half-up half-down with our pin and it saves the day,” she says. A pair of black patent crisscross Manolo sandals—she says she’s amassed a sizeable collection from her travels and simply shopping online—completes this effortlessly elegant ensemble.
Always Essential: Lightweight Spring Layers
With wardrobes and tastes that overlap, “there’s a lot of stealing that happens,” Cecilie jokes, but both admit they’re also good at sharing, like this Toteme car coat which Amalie teases is about time to return to her closet. “We get inspired a lot by each other,” Cecilie says, who paired this classic piece black Levi’s 501s and heeled mules, again from Toteme—a staple brand they both seek out for timeless, goes-with-everything styles. To add visual warmth and depth while keeping the tonal theme going, she accented her look with her Lié Studio brown suede clutch.

Wardrobe heroes take center stage in this comfortably polished look, which is perfect for a day when the designers are popping down the road to take client meetings or sit-down interviews at their Copenhagen flagship. “We’ve built wardrobes where getting dressed is easy and everything works together,” Amalie says of her sweater-and-skirt look. Cecilie, meanwhile, styled her favorite white jeans with her Toteme trench coat, heeled ballerinas, and a black V-neck—“we’re always on the hunt for the perfect T-shirt,” she says. A big black bag that can fit “your entire life” and then some, is just what’s needed for a busy day. “We’re not big on logos,” they add, speaking to their appreciation for well-crafted, understated pieces with minimal branding exemplified by their Norma tote, which both reach for a near daily basis.
The All-White Look—Ready for Summer’s Grand Arrival
One thing Cecilie says she’s been looking forward to with the arrival of warmer weather is the prospect of wearing more flowy shirts—a key piece in both sisters’ spring and summer wardrobes. Here, Cecilie styled a relaxed poplin button-down from Matteau, an Australian brand she says make absolute best, with white jeans and black leather extras for a bit of edge. A fool-proof outfit formula Cecilie, she’ll easily recreate this look with a blue-and-white striped shirt and medium-wash or black jeans. A well-appointed mix of silver jewelry acts the finishing touch in this ensemble.
