The And Just Like That Cast Answers Vogue’s Burning Questions

And Just Last That fans, the day has finally come: Season three officially kicks off today on Max. This season, the glamorous gang is back together again in New York City—said gang being Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Miranda (Cynthia Nixon), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), Seema (Sarita Choudhury), and Lisa (Nicole Ari Parker), of course. On deck for season three? The fab-five navigate everything from their busy careers to the dynamics of dating, friendship, marriage, and motherhood. Come for the drama and comedy, stay for the elevated fashions—all costume designed by Molly Rogers and Danny Santiago.

In honor of the buzzy new season, Vogue recently caught up with the cast in Manhattan to discuss all things AJLT—from what they loved about their character’s new costumes (which are always a series highlight), to how they would spend a perfect day off in New York City (for SJP, that’s waiting in line for pizza at L’industrie, while Choudhury would do brunch at Balthazar). Plus, we squeezed in some bonus rounds too, including what their favorite books and emojis are. Cue: a heart, Nixon’s go-to.

Below, watch as the cast of And Just Like That answers Vogue’s burning questions.

What excited you about your character’s fashions this season?

You can expect a variety of high-fashions to hit your TV screen this year—from avant-garde, to menswear-inspired. “[Molly and Danny] pulled in a bunch Victorian stuff, and I went crazy for it,” says Parker of Carrie’s looks this season. “There some really amazing big skirts and bustles.” Nixon, meanwhile, loved the tailoring and suiting that Miranda gets to wear. “Miranda has all these masc looks that she’s playing with. Now, it feels like she’s a person that is happy with androgyny,” Nixon says,.

What’s your go-to wardrobe staple?

For Parker, that’s a Reformation knit dress. “It’s unimpressive, but it’s pretty tried-and-true,” she says. “It has a simple shape and looks good on everybody—I own it in like four colors.” Nixon favors corduroy pants, while Davis sometimes enjoys pulling out old Charlotte costumes. “I’ve got some amazing Charlotte pieces from the first [Sex and the City] show,” Davis says. “I just had Megan Thee Stallion on my podcast, and I wore the Prada lipstick skirt.”
