SEC Powerhouse Predicted to Land Three Elite 5-Star Recruits

There is a big competition between programs every college football offseason as they try to bring home the nation's top recruiting class.

Of course, though, it's about much more than proving you're better than other teams, as it's a pivotal point to ensuring future success and the ability to compete for national championships.

Many players from the 2026 recruiting class have already found their next homes, but some talent is left. Steve Wiltfong and Chad Simmons predicted in an article for On3 where some will go.

For the Alabama Crimson Tide, they are landing wide receiver Cederian Morgan, linebacker Xavier Griffin and EDGE Anthony Jones.

If they did land Morgan, he would be just their second offensive commitment. On3 Industry Rankings ranks him as a five-star recruit, the No. 2 wide receiver and the No. 14 player in the nation.

The other two are certainly no slouches either. Both are five-stars, while Jones is placed as the No. 3 EDGE and the No. 19 player in the nation and Griffin is the No. 2 linebacker and the No. 28 player in the nation.

All three would also be a major boost to Alabama's recruiting class, which, despite having only five commitments, still ranks No. 4 in the SEC and No. 8 in the nation, per On3.

Other big names in that group for the Crimson Tide include five-star cornerback Jorden Edmonds, four-star interior offensive lineman Chris Booker and four-star defensive lineman Kamhariyan Johnson.

However, there is still some time before any decisions are officially made, as Griffin is set to announce his commitment on June 29, followed by Morgan on July 2 and finally Jones, who has yet to pick a date.
