What: An online marketplace carrying women’s clothing and accessories by a mix of emerging and hard-to-find brands, all vetted for their sustainability practices.

Owners: Eliana Konsker and Brigitte Canty

Origin Story: Ellie and Brigitte met at USC: Ellie was earning her Master’s in Entrepreneurship while working at Tom Ford, and Brigitte was studying business and environmental science, researching sustainability with National Geographic. Living in L.A., they saw firsthand the impact of overconsumption and felt compelled to act. Combining Ellie’s fashion expertise with Brigitte’s sustainability background, they launched Zero, a marketplace for “sustainable” fashion brands, in 2022. Zero champions transparency, ensuring consumers know where products come from, what they’re made of and how they’re produced.

Zero rigorously vets every brand for “holistic sustainability — beyond just materials — to ensure ethical production, fair labor and long-term environmental impact.” It also curates emerging designers and hard-to-find brands, giving shoppers access to unique, high-quality pieces that align with their values.
