Oklahoma State football spring portal tracker: Cowboys adding offensive weapons

STILLWATER — The Oklahoma State football program became active in the transfer portal early in the month of April, adding to its heavily rebuilt roster.

The Cowboys have undergone massive offseason changes with a mostly new coaching staff and more than 30 new players — a number that is growing this spring.

Here’s a look at the transfer portal movement in the spring window for OSU:

Players transferring to OSU in spring portal window

Cam Abshire, WR (Emory & Henry)

A 6-foot-4, 185-pound receiver who posted over 1,600 yards in his first two seasons of college ball, Abshire will try to make the jump from Division II Emory & Henry University, located in Emory, Virginia. He is coming off a redshirt sophomore season of 1,054 yards and 13 touchdowns on 51 catches for the Wasps. Abshire brings needed height to a rebuilt receiver group that has few players over 6-foot-2.

Freddie Brock, RB (Georgia State)

A graduate transfer with one year of eligibility remaining, Brock rushed for 819 yards and eight touchdowns last season at Georgia State. He adds immediate depth and experience to a running back group that will be seeking a lead back in the fall. Brock began his career at Maine and transferred to Georgia State in 2023, where he averaged 6.2 yards per carry over 16 games in two seasons.

Christian Fitzpatrick, WR (Marshall)

Just days after Abshire’s commitment, the Cowboys added more height to the receiver depth chart with the 6-foot-4, 217-pound wideout from Marshall. Fitzpatrick has one year of eligibility remaining, after beginning his career in 2020 at Louisville. He spent 2021-23 at Michigan State before transferring to Marshall, where he had the best season of his career last fall. He started all 13 games, catching 34 passes for 576 yards and six touchdowns. Fitzpatrick has one year of eligibility remaining.
