Jamie Haller Opens New Montecito Store, Celebrates With Dinner

To perfect something as classic as the loafer is a challenging endeavor. But Jamie Haller was up for the task when she decided to found her namesake label in 2020 with a small batch of shoes that would become a cult favorite among fashion editors and the L.A. creative community.

Fast forward to June of 2025, and Haller celebrates the opening of her first brick and mortar at The Post in Montecito with a cohort of female founders such as Meg Strachan of Dorsey and Janessa Leoné of her eponymous hat line, both who cohosted the event, along with other longtime friends and creatives including Abigail Spencer, Claire Vivier, Emily Current and Meritt Elliot of The Great.

The evening began with aperitivos under peppercorn trees, then progressed to a candlelit dinner from Italian restaurant Ospi. Situated in the outdoor area in front of the store, golden chalice vines wrap around the exterior of the historical buildings, and an array of summer wildflowers decorated the tables.

The retail space reflects Haller’s background as a shoe and interior designer and historic home restorer. With attention to the codes of Art Deco and modernism, the L.A.-based native combines luxurious materials and bold colors with clean lines and negative space. “I like to live in the tension between maximal stimulation and negative space. The mind needs to streamline moments in between the maximal moments to appreciate continual expression. It’s a blend of the eclectic and the traditional, and that I think matches my style most succinctly. I wanted to create a space that feels warm, emotional and inspiring,” said the designer.

A restored 1952 Paul Tuttle sofa reupholstered in a rich geometric jacquard fabric from Kneedler Faucher anchors the store while a 1940s Charles Dudouyt attributed sideboard, a favorite of Haller’s, complements the antique Victorian mirror she brought from her current home.

In addition to footwear — handcrafted in Italy from buttery, premium leathers — the brand offers vintage-inspired denim, made in Los Angeles, and ready-to-wear, which was introduced in 2024.
