Solange Knowles showcased her summer night footwear style while attending Telfar’s spring 2025 fashion show on Saturday in New York City. The singer stepped out in a pair of Maryam Nassir Zadeh’s Tupelo sandals for the occasion.

The Tupelo is a thong, slip-on sandal with a wide velcro strap at the vamp that runs across the top of the foot and wraps around the big toe. The unisex style features an open square toe and another velcro strap on the outer side. The sandals also feature a logo embossed at the footbed, a leather sole and a stacked leather block heel measuring one inch. The shoes are priced at $205 but are currently sold out.

While the “Cranes in the Sky” singer has a penchant for unique shoes, it was her skirt-and-pants hybrid that was the true standout at the fashion show. Most of the Maryam Nassir Zadeh sandal was obscured by a Toteme Garderob black tunic with white stripes that she tied around her waist. Underneath, she wore a leather pants and skirt combo, creating draped asymmetrical layers that moved as she walked through the event. She kept it simple at the top with a structured tube top, also in black, and minimal jewelry and makeup.

Knowles was in attendance as Telfar commemorated its 20th anniversary on Saturday as part of the Juneteenth weekend celebrations in New York City. The fashion show was held on one block of Cortlandt Alley in Lower Manhattan’s TriBeCa-Chinatown neighborhood, featuring hundreds of diverse models of all ages and races. “It was an impressive fashion block party filled with covetable new styles rooted in reality and celebration of the brand,” WWD’s Emily Mercer wrote in her review about the show.

The singer also has plenty to celebrate. Knowles joined forces with clean beauty brand Ilia to release a limited-edition collection called “The Eldorado Ballroom by Solange,” inspired by her recent homecoming performance series in Houston. The curated collection features five of Ilia’s products, including the Super Serum Skin Tint SPF 40, the Limitless Lash Mascara in After Midnight, the Eye Stylus Shadow Stick in Opulent, the In Frame Brow Gel and the Lip Wrap Reviving Balm.
