Anthropologie Teams Up with Angel City Football Club to Empower Women

Anthropologie has teamed up with Angel City Football Club, a women’s professional soccer team in Los Angeles, on a three-year partnership based on a shared commitment to empower women and build community. The collaboration features an array of marketing activations and strategies across advertising, social media and events.

“At Anthropologie, we are committed to empowering women and investing in the next generation,” said Barbra Sainsurin, global chief marketing officer at Anthropologie Group. “Our partnership with Angel City reflects that commitment — supporting women who are leading with strength and purpose, while also helping to create opportunities for young people to explore and realize their full potential.”

As part of the partnership, Anthropologie will sponsor ACFC’s SOAR internship program, a paid summer experience designed for high schools students from communities across Los Angeles. Anthropologie executives across the organization will offer their time, insights and mentorship — meeting with interns to share career guidance, industry expertise and real-world exposure to creative and corporate roles within retail.

In addition, Anthropologie will serve as the presenting partner of player arrivals for all ACFC regular season home matches in 2025. Fans will be able to see standout player style and celebratory moments before every game, showing the individuality that defines both Angel City players and the Anthropologie community.

The partnership will be further amplified through brand support of major games and key seasonal moments, dedicated influencer attendance and coverage, cross-promotional social content, a full BMO Stadium tunnel takeover and in-stadium and on-field advertising. Fans will also have the opportunity to engage through exclusive consumer-facing giveaways throughout the season.

The Angel City Football Club of Los Angeles, in the National Women’s Soccer League, is entering its fourth season in 2025 at the BMO Stadium in downtown Los Angeles. ACFC is led by controlling owners Willow Bay and Bob Iger and was cofounded by tech entrepreneur Julie Uhrman, actor and activist Natalie Portman and venture capitalist Kara Nortman. The club has been named the world’s most valuable women’s sports team, with a valuation of $250 million. Mark Parsons is the team’s sporting director.
