Marky Walbridge, 3-star OT from Massachusetts, picks Michigan football

After seemingly successfully reinforcing its defensive line in the class of 2026, Michigan football is now making headway on the other side.

Marky Walbridge, a three-star offensive lineman from St. Sebastian’s High in Needham, Massachusetts, pledged to join the Wolverines on Wednesday, June 25. This is the second commit on offense for Wednesday, following four-star wide receiver Zion Robinson’s pledge on Instagram earlier in the afternoon.

Walbridge announced his decision on social media with a post: “Home Go Blue.”

Walbridge, at 6 feet 6 and 280 pounds, is the No. 2 player in Massachusetts, the No. 38 offensive tackle nationally and the No. 447 player overall, according to 247 Sports’ composite rankings. Walbridge had a lengthy offer sheet featuring more than two dozen Division I programs but chose Michigan over Alabama, Boston College and Penn State, after taking visits over the past month to all four schools.

Walbridge is the second offensive lineman in the class of 2026 to commit to position coach Grant Newsome, joining four-star interior lineman Bear McWhorter, who also picked the Wolverines despite a heavy push from Alabama. This brings Michigan’s total 2026 commits to 14, a group that is now ranked No. 22 nationally.
