The trainers, which are currently out of stock on the Louis Vuitton website in the white shade Newell wore, retail for $1,360. Also available in a blue and black colorway, the shoes are crafted from high-shine patent calf leather and feature the Mini Monogram pattern embossing.

Newell paired his shoes with a blue double-breasted suit and accessorized his look with a silver bracelet. According to his draft profile, he is projected to be a mid-to-late first-round pick in the draft, with many anticipating he’ll be selected 21st overall by the Utah Jazz. He has been heavily praised for his athleticism, rebounding ability and defense.

Meanwhile, his colleague, Cooper Flagg, opted for what appeared to be the Dandelion loafers from Christian Louboutin, a popular velvet style from the brand. Sitting at a retail price of $945, the shoes are described by the brand as a classic, elongated loafer that pairs well with all kinds of trousers. They also incorporate the sophistication and craftsmanship that is synonymous with the Louboutin brand.

The two-night 2025 NBA Draft is taking place June 25–26 at Brooklyn’s Barclays Center, marking the league’s 79th edition and the second consecutive split-format event. Dallas earned the No. 1 pick and is expected to select Duke’s Cooper Flagg, followed in the lottery by San Antonio, Philadelphia and Charlotte. The draft spotlight includes top prospects like Dylan Harper, Ace Bailey, Jeremiah Fears and Johnson.
