Michigan State LB Jordan Hall talks about trusting the process at MSU

When Jordan Hall first arrived on campus in 2023, he was a top-200 recruit in the country and flashed some ability right out of the gate. In 2024, he thought he would have his coming-out party as the starting middle linebacker, calling plays for the Michigan State defense. Things changed when the Spartans opted to bring in Wisconsin linebacker Jordan Turner.

At the Big Ten Media Days this week, Hall talked about MSU’s decision to bring in Turner. According to Hall, in a video recorded by Spartans Illustrated, MSU defensive coordinator Joe Rossi was very transparent about why they brought in Turner to be the starter last year, and how he thinks Hall can rise to that level. In a college football landscape that very commonly sees players in that position transfer immediately out of the program, Jordan Hall explained that he instead decided to trust the process and the coaching staff and stay at MSU.
