Yesterday, Travis Kelce went Instagram official with girlfriend Taylor Swift, and the internet collectively lost its mind over the hard launch (which wasn’t a surprise in the least, making it all the more endearing). The post garnered over two million likes and thousands of comments proving just how obsessed we all are with the A-list couple, but, amidst all the excitement, our seasoned shopping editors’ eyes went straight to a key accessory worn by Swift in the third slide: a black leather belt with a gold buckle and accompanying chain. As far as we’re concerned, this on-trend accessory was the star of the show, and it comes from a brand that deserves to be on your radar, especially as summer turns into fall: B-Low the Belt, which all of your favorite celebrities have worn for years.
Swift’s Phoenix Leather Belt from the accessories label is sleek, courtesy of that suede-lined leather, with an effortless edge by way of the double-chain detail — whose gold-tone finish matches the belt’s buckle. It’s not the first time Swift has worn this exact belt, either. For a dinner with pal Dakota Johnson this past May in NYC, the “Fortnight” singer stepped out in the same B-Low the Belt bestseller to amp up her floral-printed, A-line summer dress from Dôen (specifically, the Benoit Dress, which you can still shop). In this context, its gold chains were in fluent conversation with the gilded hardware bedecking Swift’s Balmain handbag, while mirroring the layered look of her necklace selections. Swift is also the lucky owner of B-Low the Belt’s Acadia Chain Belt, now sold out, which she sported in January 2024 with a black minidress and chunky-heeled ankle boots.

Schiaparelli‘s cowboy-core-meets-high-fashion collection for the season flaunted artful leather belts, snakeskin ones with ornate buckles, and Wild West–inspired picks piled one on top of the other — infusing all those opulent furs, glossy leather pants, and Canadian-tuxedo looks with a certain kind of Y2K-era grunginess. Issey Miyake also proved belts are better in pairs, and Isabel Marant augmented its punk-inspired tailoring with studded black bands that might’ve lacked the chains found on Swift’s Phoenix Leather Belt but nonetheless channeled the same amount of cool-girl allure.
For fall, the runways showcased the revival of more statement-making belts — whether ornate with chain detailing, Western flair, or punk-inspired studs. And now with Taylor Swift’s seal of approval, you can be certain the trend is sure to take off this season. Able to work with everything from baggy jeans to corp-core wool bottoms, her belt style nevertheless manages to stay fresh and visually exciting with its high-shine buckle and dual-chain elements. Style the waist-cincher with jewelry in similar tones, like gold huggie earrings or a pendant necklace (as Swift did), and you’ll become autumn’s ultimate tastemaker.
