Julia Fox has a thing for whimsical shoes. During an outing in Los Angeles on Wednesday, the actress was spotted floating on air in a pair of heelless strappy sandals by Cakey Sportsman.

Cake Sportsman is a footwear and clothing label designed and made in Melbourne, Australia. The Crude Oil Chopines 2.0 shoes were originally designed by Matea Gluscevic, Cakey Sportsman’s designer and founder, for her Ocean Girl 3000 debut footwear collection. The shoes are now available as part of the Cakey Sportsman made-to-order range.

Unlike the Crude Oil Chopines 2.0 that are featured on the website, Fox’s version feature three straps across the upper with simple silver buckles. The original design of the shoes feature a fully adjustable width, four adjustable buckle straps for secure hold, cushioned insole for comfort and a total rise at the heel measuring approximately six inches.

The shoes are made from recycled rubber soles, with a black patent leather upper and soft leather lining, and silver-toned buckles with rhinestones. The covered platform is made from New Zealand pine wood and is shaped into an angular and sculptural design.

Fox paired her Alexander Wang jersey dress with the brand’s Crude Oil Chopines 2.0, which retail for $994.

Fox is a fan of the Cakey Sportsman brand and has previously worn the same shoes, the pair with the four buckles across the upper, in photos she shared on Instagram in December. Gluscevic is known for her unique handcrafted footwear. She established her new brand, Cakey Sportsman, in 2025. The “slow fashion” brand has a unique expressive structure, delivering one creative/couture runway per year that is then distilled into ready-to-wear in the following months, with several drops throughout the year.

Fox has been on quite a style run this week, modeling some sportswear-inspired ensembles with intricate heels. The looks appear to be an ode to her upcoming film “Him,” a psychological thriller starring Marlon Wayans about a rising football star drawn to a remote compound under unsettling circumstances. On Tuesday, she wore a sporty Willy Chavarria and Adidas spring 2026 runway look with Saint Laurent mules to Cara Delevingne’s birthday party.
