Meagan Good leaned once more on her red carpet constant on Friday eveing: a strappy stiletto. At the Harold & Carole Pump Foundation’s 25th Anniversary Celebrity Dinner in Beverly Hills, the actress slipped into a black lace-up pair that kept to her minimalist streak.

The stilettos were pared back to their essentials — a thin strap at the toes, squared sole and a high heel balanced on a spindly stem. Their only embellishment came from the slender cords coiling around her ankles, which she showed off on the red carpet alongside her husband Jonathan Majors.

If the sandals felt familiar, that was the point. Good has spent much of 2025 circling variations on this theme: in July, she chose Alevì Milano’s satin Kiki style with crystal detailing for Lifetime’s Summer Soirée. In June, she kept to a patent version at the Hollywood Unlocked Impact Awards, consistent with her affinity for Jessica Rich’s minimalist stilettos. At the Pan African Film Festival earlier this year, she laced into Rich’s Noir sandals, while other appearances have rotated through metallic pairs by Flor de Maria and asymmetric soles by Kandee.
Taken together, the choices amount to a footwear identity. Good’s red carpet looks may shift from sheer paneling to cut-out gowns, but the shoes nearly always return to the same language: thin straps, high heels, little else. Where some celebrities punctuate with statement platforms or chunky boots, Good’s consistency has become its own signature.

This time around, Good paired the strappy shoes with a gown in a deep charcoal gray chiffon, draped with a plunging neckline and ruched bodice. Good finished the look with a high bun, gold jewelry and a tangerine-orange manicure that punctuated the monochrome palette.
The Beverly Hilton gala, which honored Barry Bonds, Aaron Donald and Wayne Gretzky among others, also raised funds for cancer care through the Northridge Hospital Foundation.
