Crocs and Hey Dude Brands Get Their Own Marketing Gurus

Crocs‘ Terence Reilly isn’t wasting any time in his bid to create more brand heat for the Crocs and Hey Dude brands.

Reilly was elevated in May to the newly created role of executive vice president and chief brand officer for Crocs Inc. after rejoining Crocs in April 2024 as president for Hey Dude. FN learned exclusively on Monday that Reilly now has two new chief marketing officers (CMO) to help him fuel growth at the Crocs and Hey Dude brands.

Crocs appointed Carly Gomez as senior vice president and CMO for the Crocs brand and Amondo Redmond as senior vice president and CMO of the Hey Dude brand. Both are well-respected global brand leaders with industry experience that will help accelerate Crocs’ positioning in the casual footwear category. Gomez and Redmond will report directly to Reilly.

“Crocs, Inc. once again attracts the best marketing talent in the world to its brands to continue its decade-plus legacy of unprecedented, spectacular consumer connection,” Reilly said. “Carly and Amondo are taking the marketing reins of two of the most popular footwear brands in the world, and I can’t wait to see the swell of momentum both will undoubtably build for our future.”

Gomez is a 20-year omni-channel marketing expert who joins Crocs after most recently serving as CMO for Fabletics, the global active lifestyle brand for men’s and women’s sportswear, footwear and accessories. She also had a 16-year tenure at Vans, a part of VF Corp., where she held marketing roles with increasing responsibility across global markets. She has built a reputation for leveraging emerging trends and technologies that drive business expansion.

Gomez will relocate from Los Angeles, Calif., to Crocs’ global headquarters in Broomfield, Colo.

A Fortune 500 executive and a philanthropic board member, Redmond joins Hey Dude from Foot Locker, where he spent three years as head of marketing for North America leading strategy, brand and marketing efforts for the region. Prior to Foot Locker, Redmond was global chief marketing and brand officer at Forever 21. He has also held leadership positions at Warner Brothers Credit Union (now First Entertainment), Oakley and PepsiCo.

Redmond will relocate from Los Angeles to Westwood, Mass., where the Hey Dude headquarters is based.

Crocs this month posted a solid second quarter earnings report, but warned of a slowdown in sales due to the tariff impact on consumer spending. That cautiousness also projected a 9 percent to 11 percent decline in third quarter revenue, along with a loss in some shelf space at retail to athletic brands. Crocs CEO Andrew Rees said he expects to pick up shelf space in the summer with the company’s sandal line.

Meanwhile, the company last month opened its new “Icon” concept store, housing enough space for personalization stations featuring its Jibbitz™ charms and allowing for interactive events with consumers. And just last week, “Stranger Things” star Millie Bobby Brown made her debut as Crocs’ new global ambassador.
