Ariana Madix has spent most of the summer in strappy sandals, and Thursday night was no exception. For the celebration of “Twelfth Night” at Shakespeare in the Park, she opted for a flat, see-through pair that took the outfit in a different direction: practical, but still on-trend.
The shoes were cut in clear PVC, their only structure coming from slim straps that crossed the toes and buckled at the ankle. A nude footbed kept the silhouette seamless, while the lack of heel put all the attention on the transparency. With a pale pink pedicure peeking through, the look was less about height and more about comfort for the outdoor setting.

Madix paired the sandals with Fait Par Foutch’s Jasmine dress in Yellow Fleur, a cream mini embroidered with scattered blooms and trimmed in lace.
It’s a continuation of what she’s been doing all month: letting pared-back sandals carry the look. Earlier in the day, she was photographed in Schutz’s metallic Altina stilettos after taping the “Today” show. A week prior, she wore Steve Madden’s Burrke thong sandals, a flat style strung with gold hardware, on “Late Night With Seth Meyers.” Whether she goes high or low, the common thread has been restraint — shoes stripped down to a few decisive lines.

That choice also puts her inside a wider clear-shoe summer conversation. Rita Ora has worn plexiglass wedges from Sportmax, Simone Biles brought Lucite block heels to a Netflix event in June and Khloé Kardashian opted for transparent mules for Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sanchez’s wedding festivities in Venice. Flat or heeled, the effect is the same: visibility as design.
The Thursday night celebration for “Twelfth Night” drew a mix of approaches — some guests leaned into Shakespearean drama, like Lupita Nyong’o and Sandra Oh, while others, including the “Love Island USA” host, kept it rooted in summer ease. Though the production officially opened earlier this month, the Delacorte event marked its social milestone, bringing a wave of high-profile arrivals back into Central Park.
