Gayle King hosted the USTA Foundation Opening Night Gala on Sunday, taking a bow as host at the event wearing a pair of red Manolo Blahnik pumps. The event honored tennis legend Andre Agassi and raised funds to support underprivileged youth through tennis and education programs.

King arrived at the event in a pair of Manolo Blahnik‘s Corintia 90mm pumps in a bright cardinal red hue, which were a flattering contrast to the cobalt blue carpet. These crepe de Chine pointed-toe pumps feature a delicate bow detailing on the upper and a slingback design.

The style was reissued from the Manolo Blahnik archive, and features two straps stemming from the bow that go up alongside the upper, decorating the top of the foot. The shoes balance atop a high stiletto heel measuring around 3.5 inches. The shoes are available on retail sites like Farfetch and on Saks Fifth Avenue in black.

King paired her Manolo Blahnik pumps with a ribbed maxidress by Self-Portrait. The sailor-inspired white dress featured a navy blue trim along the collar, the sleeves and the pockets, and is decorated with round gold buttons. She continued the bow and red motif from the shoes and carried into the rest of her accessories, carrying an Alice + Olivia Semira Bow Bag in a bright ruby color.

King favors pointed-toe shoe designs, particularly pumps, whenever she steps out for an event. She varies from brands like SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker, Badgley Mischka, and has recently developed a preference for Sneex, the sneaker heels by Sara Blakely.

King caught up with other celebrities for Day One of the singles action at the 2025 U.S. Open at Arthur Ashe Stadium, including Spike Lee and his wife Tonya Lewis Lee. Athletes such as Jordan Clarkson of the New York Knicks, former NFL player Victor Cruz and NBA star Luke Garza also caught the matches, as did other celebrities including Gladys Knight, Katie Couric, Vera Wang, Anna Wintour, Shonda Rhimes, Alec and Hilaria Baldwin and more.
