Ever since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry, the world’s eyes have been fixed on Meghan Markle — and her style. We’ll be following the Meghan Markle Effect™ with our column, “Meghan Markle Wore a Thing.”
Wearing suits in spring weather can be tricky, mainly because most of them are too heavy to be worn in warmer weather. For Meghan Markle, however, no season can best her chic workwear.
On Wednesday, the Duchess of Sussex spoke at the Time100 Summit at New York City’s Lincoln Center, wearing a tan linen Ralph Lauren suit paired with a crisp white button-down. The quiet luxury-coded outfit consists of the brand’s relaxed-fit Russell Twill Blazer featuring subtle power shoulders. Waist down, rather than lean into her penchant for skinny jeans, Markle switched it up by going for matching wide-leg, Twill Pleated trousers.

Ralph Lauren’s brown leather Calfskin Buckle Belt cinched her waist, while pointy Manolo Blahnik suede pumps completed the look. Jewelry-wise, she reached for gold Tabayer hoop earrings, a gold watch and the late Princess Diana’s Cartier diamond tennis Bracelet.
Prince Harry accompanied Markle, who, for his part, kept it straightforward in a navy suit, white button-down and black dress shoes.
