With less than three weeks until the end of the Atlanta Braves’ 2025 regular season, uncertainty swirls around the team’s managerial position for 2026.

In recent days, speculation has increase – including at a national level – as as to whether or not current Braves skipper – and the manager with the third-most wins in franchise history – will return in 2026 or retire.

Earlier today, Mark Bowman of MLB.com wrote an article with multiple quotes from Snitker that, for the first time, indicate the he is still pondering whether or not her wants to return to the manager’s seat next year.

“I honestly don’t know where I’m going to end up and what decision I’m going to make. I still feel like there’s some unfinished business.” – Atlanta Braves manager Brian Snitker, on the possibility of his return in 2026.

Atlanta President of Baseball Operations and General Manager Alex Anthopoulos, made comments to reporters several days ago affirming that Snitker would remain in the organization but did provide any context to whether or not that would be as manager next season, deflecting his answer to state that coaching decisions would happen after the season.

Atlanta has not publicly stated whether or not they have made a contract offer to Snitker to return next season. Furthermore, whether or not Snitker’s return to the dugout is his on decision to make likely won’t be know for at least for a few weeks.

While there will be numerous off-season stories to watch starting on September 29, none may be bigger than with whom the organization moves forward with as manager in 2026.
