What is fashion week without running into your friends?

At the Simkhai show on Thursday afternoon, Tiffany Haddish was shocked to find “my baby” Jordan Chiles next to her. 

The pair first met roughly two years ago and have been friends ever since. 

“I just remember I was so super proud of you,” Haddish said. 

“She’s always a vibe every single time I see her,” Chiles said back. “She is like my third mom.”

“Front-row friends, backstage friends, good advice friends, hopefully workout friends,” Haddish continued. “I’m trying to do some ribbon work. With the ribbons?”

“That’s called rhythmic,” Chiles told her. 

“Yeah, I’ve been doing rhythmic work in the backyard. I’ve been putting in the work,” Haddish replied.

“What I love most about fashion week is I get to see my young ones who keep me motivated,” Haddish continued. “The best thing about fashion week for me is to see what’s coming up and then to develop a relationship with the designers where they’re actually like, ‘hey, will you wear this?’ And I’m like, ‘yeah, because I’ve been paying for your looks for years.’ So to be able to call and communicate with them and say, ‘hey, I’m doing this great comedy show and I want to look amazing, I would like to wear your clothing that I saw at fashion week.’ And they send you the dress and you can look amazing in their clothes.”
