Grace Ling Levels Up Her Sharp Tailoring With Even Sharper Knives for Spring 2026


A lot’s happened for Grace Ling since her last runway show one year ago: She won a mentorship award from the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund, opened her first flagship store in New York City and launched a collaboration with Khy, Kylie Jenner’s brand. The Singaporean designer rounded it all out Thursday night with a memorable Spring 2026 runway show that was as rich with drama and ambiance as it was with sharp tailoring, couture craftsmanship and various feats of engineering.

“This season, I would definitely say we are three times more leveled up than last season,” Ling told me the night before the show at special a dinner hosted by Velocity Black, a digital luxury concierge service, which also sponsored the show.

Titled “Future Relics,” the collection features a slew of chrome biomorphic charms inspired by found objects: Combs, keys, padlocks and lots of knives can be found on tailored pieces, jersey dresses and statement handbags alike. 

“A combination of technology with traditional methods of craft complete the Grace Ling product,” per the designer. “So there’s a lot of 3D-printed aluminum pieces.” The biggest are the bodices of the collection’s opening and closing looks, which she called her “big couture pieces.” On the smaller side are the metal trims, garment closures and logo tags. “They’re very engineered and they’re very intricate,” she noted.

Elsewhere, fabrics are manipulated to appear cracked, torn and burnt. “The Grace Ling girl for this season is both a saint and a savage at the same time,” the designer explained. “There’s elements of being burnt.. elements of being torn, tethered in the print, in the engineered fabrics, but the tailoring is super pristine. So it’s this balance of destroyed but luxurious and very elevated, very clean at the same time.”

The result was a bold, elevated, confident showing that reflected the broader luxury lifestyle brand Ling hopes to evolve into. “I’m very passionate about culinary interior design. I’m very passionate about ambient vibes,” she points out. “I definitely want to branch into home. That’s something that has been at the back of my mind for a long time, and it’s been sitting there for so long that I feel like I could whip out a whole collection in five minutes just because it’s been brewing in there.”
