As Hoops Hype continues to roll out their top-26 rankings for the 2025-26 season, another member of the Golden State Warriors earned a spot on the power forward set of rankings. After Steph Curry, Jimmy Butler and Jonathan Kuminga, the next member of the Warriors to appear on Hoops Hype’s top-26 power forwards for the 2025-26 season is Draymond Green. The veteran defensive captain landed at No. 19 in the top 26.

Green snuck into the top-20 in front of Dallas Mavericks forward PJ Washington and LA Lakers forward Rui Hachimura. LA Clippers John Collins (18) and Houston’s Jabari Smith (17) were listed in front of Green on Hoops Hype’s rankings.

Green is coming off another impressive season as the centerpiece of Golden State’s defensive unit. The 35-year-old big man finished third in the Defensive Player of the Year vote while also earning another first-team All-Defense honor. In 13 seasons, Green has now been named to the All-Defensive team nine times, with five coming on the first team.

Offensively, Green shot the ball from beyond the arc at a more prolific rate, shooting 3.6 3-pointers per game, his highest mark since 2017-18. Shooting from downtown at 32.5%, Green knocked down 80 3-pointers during the 2024-25 season, his highest number of makes since the 2016-17 season. Green had 23 games with at least two made triples, including two contests with five made 3-pointers.

Green finished the season averaging nine points on 42.4% shooting from the field to go along with 6.1 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.5 steals and one block in 29.2 minutes per game.

Alongside both Curry and Butler, Green will again be a pillar in Steve Kerr’s rotation. For the Warriors to make another run through the postseason in the Western Conference, the veteran power forward will likely have to be heavily involved.
