Greek Goddesses Came to Life at Andrew Kwon Spring 2026

Here’s the thing about Andrew Kwon: He knows how to create a fantasy.

Of course, that’s the expectation for a bridal designer. But even in his evening ready-to-wear, fantasy remains a common thread.

Kwon’s Spring 2026 show, presented at the newly renovated Waldorf Astoria on Tuesday afternoon, was no exception. Titled “Celestial,” the collection was inspired by French painter Pierre-Narcisse Guérin’s artwork, “Aurora and Cephalus.” The painting refers to a Greek myth about the goddess of dawn falling in love with a human huntsman.

“The colors of what I saw in the painting really struck me,” Kwon told Fashionista backstage after the show. Fading night-sky blues, pearlescent greys and soft pinks and violets colored the lineup of draped and sculpted gowns.

“The collection journeys through the skies of Aurora’s world: darkness dissolving into light, clouds shimmering with iridescence and floral offerings suspended in air,” the show notes read. “With ‘Celestial,’ [Kwon] continues to shape a world where goddesses walk among us, cloaked in light, their gowns drifting like the sky itself.”
