Maybe it’s the influx of sport collaborations in fashion and beauty, or the collegiate nature of back-to-school season, that has the style set feeling like Sporty Spice these days. Whatever it is, sports jerseys were spotted aplenty among fashion week showgoers as labels like Willy Chavarria and Martine Rose put out luxe iterations.
Stockx covered the rising trend in its 2025 trend report, confirming that the “ongoing obsession with jerseys” has led to a rise in search value for brands like Cactus Plant Flea Market and Mitchell & Ness (up 300% and 200%, respectively, year over year).
Among this year’s most coveted (and perhaps investment-worthy) sports jerseys are the FC Barcelona x Travis Scott jersey and the Chicago Bulls jerseys of Michael Jordan and Derrick Rose, the ladder of which spiked 600% when Rose announced his retirement in September of 2024. Other popular styles, according to Stockx, include crochet hockey and velvet soccer versions.
