It feels like most of the records Aaron Judge sets these days have to do with legendary New York Yankees.

How about a Boston Red Sox legend for a change?

That's what Judge did on Thursday night. He broke an American League record held by Ted Williams.

Williams had the most intentional walks in a single season in AL history, with 34.

After Judge's latest intentional walk, he now has 35.

No one will ever be catching up to Barry Bonds' overall MLB record for intentional walks.

So in the mere mortals division, Judge now has his own perch atop the American League record books.

Judge does so much damage that there's a case he should be walked even more than this.

It's obviously no fun for fans who come to watch him play, because they want to see him hit.

But strategically, giving Judge one free base instead of giving him the chance to get four in one swing isn't a terrible idea.

And now Judge has a record for that.
