All the Best Looks From the CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards 2025

Last night’s CNMI Sustainable Fashion Awards 2025 took place amid Milan Fashion Week, an awards ceremony that gathers together the Italian and international fashion sets to celebrate designers, artisans, brands, and industry players working toward a more circular, sustainable fashion economy.

Organized by Camera Nazionale della Moda Italiana (the Italian Fashion Council), and in collaboration with the UN Alliance for Sustainable Fashion, the starry event took place at the historic and grand Teatro alla Scala. Now in its fourth year, the evening saw awards presented for craft, creative vision, environmental justice, and advocation for human rights and biodiversity.

The evening was opened by the Mayor of Milan, Giuseppe Sala. The event also honored the late Giorgio Armani, with Anna Wintour taking to the stage early on to make a speech about the late designer’s legacy. “He understood power, attitude, and elegance as well as anyone ever has in fashion,” she said.

“Joining all of you in celebrating Giorgio is a bit like reuniting with a family I never knew I had,” Wintour said. “Family is the quality I most associate with Giorgio: with his fashion, which had a beautiful continuity and always seemed tailor-made for the people he loved most.”

“The name ‘Armani’ has been so all-encompassing for so long that it’s difficult to reduce it to a single moment, image, or project. Giorgio became one of fashion’s leaders, but in his time, he was a visionary, ahead of his time,” she continued.

“Before him, there were only boring elegant suits, with their rigid shapes and codes. He revolutionized formal wear and, in doing so, revolutionized fashion.” Then, Wintour presented the Legacy Award to Armani’s longtime right-hand man Leo Dell’Orco, Silvana Armani, and Andrea Camerana.
