NBA Sends Strong Message to Steve Kerr on Saturday

The Golden State Warriors are continuing to establish themselves as a clear NBA title contender, under the leadership of head coach Steve Kerr.

Golden State defeated the Houston Rockets 104-93 in Game 3 of the first-round series, bouncing back from a Game 2 loss.

The Warriors now have a 2-1 series lead over Houston, the No. 2 team in the Western Conference.

With the Game 3 victory, Kerr moved into No. 6 in the all-time coaching playoff list, having 101 wins to his name.

“Congrats to Steve Kerr of the Warriors for moving into 6th all-time in playoff coaching wins,” posted the official social media account of the NBA.

The five coaches ranked ahead of Kerr on the all-time list include Phil Jackson, Pat Riley, Gregg Popovich, Doc Rivers and Erik Spoelstra.

Kerr has been with the Golden State Warriors since 2014, leading the organization to four NBA titles. He’s established himself as one of the best coaches in NBA history, leading rosters that include Stephen Curry, Draymond Green, Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson.
