Duran Lantink Takes the Reins at Jean Paul Gaultier


Leading up to his inaugural show for Jean Paul Gaultier on Sunday, Duran Lantink told Elle that he hoped viewers would “be open” to his vision for the label. And an open mind was definitely needed.

The Dutch designer melded classic Jean Paul Gaultier codes (think nautical stripes and tattooed designs) with his established penchant for the avant-garde and subversive (bulbous silhouettes, risqué cutouts and pantsless looks). Perhaps the most striking (read: internet-breaking) designs were Lantink’s full-body catsuits baring a particularly hairy nude man’s crown jewels. A furry nipple-printed bra and skirt ensemble followed closely behind.

This shock value isn’t new to Lantink’s design ethos, as previous collections for his eponymous label have spotlighted similar head-turning designs. To round out this Spring 2026 collection, he also incorporated sailor-inspired baseball caps, buckled chaps, collared leather jackets and his signature pattern mixing.
