In-demand Premier League defender ‘dreams of playing for Real Madrid’ – report

Marc Guehi is one of several players who are on the radar of Real Madrid as possible options to reinforce the centre-back department next summer.

The 25-year-old Crystal Palace star sees his contract expire at the end of the season and will not be renewing it, meaning he will leave as a free agent in 2026.

As has already been reported, Real Madrid have taken an interest in his situation, but it appears that signing the Englishman will be anything but easy.

Several top clubs want Guehi

After all, Fabrizio Romano reports that Marc Guehi is likely to initiate a ‘crazy battle’ for his signing in the summer transfer window.

The 25-year-old is one of the best centre-backs in the Premier League, is entering his prime years, and will be available for free. So it is only natural that there will be a lot of interest in him.

As per Romano, at least 5-6 top clubs across Europe are keeping an eye on Guehi and will be interested in acquiring him in the summer.

Liverpool, who narrowly missed out on Guehi’s signing this past summer, will once again be in the queue. Meanwhile, Bayern Munich are also big admirers of the former Chelsea star.

Other top clubs from England, Italy, and Spain are also likely to throw their hat in the ring. Real Madrid, as already mentioned, are interested, but their arch-rivals Barcelona have also been linked with the player.

So, it will be a major transfer battle to sign Guehi in the summer, one that will not only be won by the sporting project being presented but also the financial proposal – in terms of salary and signing-on bonuses.
