With Halloween looming, new sneaker styles themed after the spooky season holiday continue to emerge. Included in this year’s offerings is a new colorway of Nike’s remastered Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble sneaker decked out in unique reflective details.

The Nike Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble “Houseflies” sneaker is set to arrive at retailers just ahead of Halloween. Using the fan-favorite 1995 retro running shoe as its canvas, the shoe combines Black/Neon Yellow/Black/Metallic Dark Gray which translates to a black-based leather upper. The pair, which appears to use materials that are a bit more premium than a typical Air Max 95, adds Neon Yellow accents on the branding and visible Air units, but it’s the Metallic Dark Gray shade that does the heavy lifting here.

The gray coloring is used for an all-over print which covers the shoe in flies, a theme that extends to the tongue’s embroidered Air Max branding and the neon outsole shank. And when the shoes are hit with light, the printed flies shine with reflective coating. 

This isn’t the first time the Air Max 95 has been given a Halloween treatment. Most notably, a 2014 style equipped with glow-in-the-dark details, mummy-esque canvas material and bloodshot eye embroidery has become a coveted look in the decade-plus since its release.

And the so-called Houseflies theme won’t be limited to the Air Max 95. A white-based Air Force 1 Low with stitched insect detailing will also be released this month.

The OG Big Bubble iteration of the classic Air Max 95 was introduced by Nike in April with the model’s original Neon colorway. The remastered version of the model includes tweaks to the size and shape of the visible Air units as well as the profile of the upper. The changes are intended to make the shoe look and feel as closely to the ’95 version as possible. 

As for the Nike Air Max 95 OG Big Bubble Halloween, it’s set to be released from Nike’s Snkrs app and select Nike Sportswear retailers on Oct. 21 for $200. The style code for this pair is IM3082-001.
