The first look at Selena Gomez in the fifth season of “Only Murders in the Building” was revealed on Thursday, when the actress was photographed in New York City shooting new scenes of the show with Martin Short and Steve Martin. Gomez, who plays Mabel in the Hulu series, was wearing fall staples in a color palette of neutral browns.

The actress donned a long cream trench coat made of leather, layered with a dark brown blazer by A.L.C., a brown and white gingham vest by Veronica Beard and a caramel leather skirt by Alice + Olivia. Her look was completed with patterned tights and crocodile-embossed boots.

Gomez’s outfit was styled by Dana Covarrubias, who has been the lead costume designer for the series since its inception. Due to her work on the show, Covarrubias has been nominated for an Emmy Award in the Outstanding Contemporary Costumes for a Series category for three consecutive years since 2022.

Outside the “Only Murders in the Building” set, Gomez works with stylist Erin Walsh on her looks. They have been working together since June 2023. Walsh is also known for styling Anne Hathaway and Juno Temple. In her most recent red carpet appearances, Gomez was seen in looks by Celine, Vera Wang, Alaïa, Saint Laurent, Elie Saab, Rodarte and Chanel. 

Production for Season Five of “Only Murders in the Building” is currently underway in New York City, with no official premiere date announced yet. The upcoming season will feature new recurring cast members, including Christoph Waltz, Renée Zellweger, Keegan-Michael Key, Logan Lerman and Jermaine Fowler.
