Ben Stiller Sends 1-Word Message After Knicks Defeat Pistons in Game 6

The New York Knicks attract countless celebrities, but only a few have remained loyal through all the highs and lows—and one of those die-hard supporters is actor Ben Stiller.

Stiller has attended a number of Knicks games this season, including nearly every matchup in their first-round series against the Detroit Pistons. He was even seen courtside in Detroit for one of the games, joined by fellow actor Timothee Chalamet.

Although Stiller wasn’t in the building for Game 6 on Thursday night, he was locked in from afar. The Knicks, who led for most of the game, surrendered the advantage in the fourth quarter—until Jalen Brunson took control.

He capped off an 11–1 run with a clutch go-ahead three-pointer with just four seconds remaining, sealing a 116–113 victory that ended Detroit’s season and sent New York to the second round—much to Stiller’s delight.

Stiller was active on social media throughout the game, tweeting in support of the Knicks. And the moment they sealed the win, he posted an all-caps, one-word reaction that summed up every fan’s emotion.

“YEAHHHHHHHHHHH,” Stiller posted.

After Brunson drilled the go-ahead three-pointer, Stiller tweeted, “JALEN FING BRUNSON,” followed shortly by, “BEST PLAYER ON THE COURT.”

Brunson, who recently earned the NBA Clutch Player of the Year award, reminded the league exactly why he deserved it. He finished the game with 40 points, seven assists, and four rebounds, shooting 15-of-33 from the field, 3-of-10 from beyond the arc, and 7-of-8 from the free-throw line.

With the win, the Knicks now advance to a high-stakes second-round showdown against the defending champion Boston Celtics. Game 1 tips off Monday night at TD Garden in Boston.
