Victoria’s Secret has tapped Savage X Fenty’s former Chief Design Officer Adam Selman as its new senior vice president and executive creative director, beginning April 14. Zozo acquires Lyst

Zozo, which operates Zozotown — the leading fashion e-commerce platform in Japan — has agreed to acquire Lyst in a $154 million deal. Lyst will continue to operate as a standalone London-based business with Emma McFerran continuing as its chief executive officer. {Fashionista inbox}

Authentic Luxury Group is eyeing a John Elliott acquisition

Authentic Luxury Group — Saks Global’s latest venture — is reportedly seeking to make its first acquisition in John Elliott, according to WWD. Though the California-based streetwear brand has recently closed three of its six stores and doesn’t meet Authentic’s typical sales requirement to be considered for an acquisition, the group is largely considering the move because of the brand’s ongoing retail presence in Saks and Neiman Marcus. {WWD}

Trump’s tariffs send beauty industry into crisis mode

U.S. President Donald Trump’s “liberation day” tariffs have turned the beauty industry “upside-down,” David Chung, founder of Farmacy and iLabs, tells Business of Fashion. “Everyone is literally going crazy. For The Washington Post, Rachel Tashjian profiles socialite and Moda Operandi Co-Founder and Chief Brand Officer Lauren Santo Domingo. Several editors, designers and other high-profile people spoke of her captivating presence in the fashion industry. Warehouse workers walk past fashion stores in Soho to spotlight labor dispute

Warehouse Workers Uniting walked through Soho on Saturday to draw attention to a labor dispute with Elanders/Bergen Logistics, a packing and distribution company that works with several designer brands and has been accused of union busting. “Those brands included notable vocal supporters of ‘ethical’ and ‘sustainable’ fashion industry trends like Ganni, Acne Studios and Kenzo,” the group’s spokesperson said. “The parade served to reinforce the importance of these logistics workers to the success of the fashion industry, despite the fact that their essential labor is less visible than the products they handle and deliver.” {WWD}
