Federico Dimarco was lost for words after Inter Milan battled back to beat Barcelona in a nerve-shredding Champions League semi-final.
Speaking to Sky Sport via FCInterNews, the star wingback admitted the euphoria got the better of him after the final whistle.
Incredible scenes at San Siro saw Inter waste a two-goal cushion, only to fight back in the dying seconds and win the game.
Lautaro Martinez and Hakan Calhanoglu put the Nerazzurri 2-0 up at halftime.
However, Barcelona turned things around in the second half and even grabbed a 3-2 lead in the 87th minute.
Luckily for a sold-out San Siro, it wasn’t the end of drama.
Indeed, Francesco Acerbi slotted home Denzel Dumfries’ low cross to extend the show.
Then, Davide Frattesi struck the final blow to send Inter into the Munich final.
Meanwhile, Dimarco had a much better game than at Montjuic last weekend.
While Lamine Yamal had him on the ropes in Spain, he gave the young prodigy a hard time tonight.
Yet, he only lasted on the pitch for 55 minutes before Carlos Augusto took his place on the left wing.
Despite watching most of the match from the dugout, Dimarco went through an emotional rollercoaster, like everybody else in the stadium.
Federico Dimarco Offers His Assessment of Inter Milan Win vs Barcelona

“What do I feel? Honestly, I have no words for what happened tonight.
“We went ahead, then behind, and we managed to recover an incredible game. It was a great night.
“We know there are strong teams on the other side, but it’s normal that we made it this far, and we need to win.”
Moreover, Dimarco explained what made the difference in this evenly contested thriller.
“We were a team throughout the game, staying focused during the many moments of the match.
“I hear people say there’s chaos in other stadiums, but nothing compares to San Siro.”
Finally, he commented on Simone Inzaghi’s role in the team’s steady growth.
“He’s our leader, he shows us the way, and he does it very well.
“Even in difficult moments, he lightens the mood with a joke, and that’s his strength.
“When we lost the Scudetto in the first year to Milan, it was all uphill from there, but we deserved it after that defeat.”
