MSU football projected to land 4-star RB Kory Amachree of Haslett, Mich.

Michigan State football has become the favorite to land an elite in-state running back prospect in the 2026 class

Michigan State football is reportedly in great position to land a big-time in-state running back prospect in the 2026 class.

The Spartans picked up a 247Sports’ crystal ball prediction to land a commitment from four-star running back Kory Amachree of Haslett, Mich. The 247Sports’ staff projection in favor of the Spartans was submitted on Friday around the same time Michigan State was included in Amachree’s top schools list. He is also reportedly considering Kansas, Pitt, Indiana, Duke and Harvard at this time.

Amachree is listed as a four-star prospect in 247Sports’ composite rankings, and holds a rating of 89.63. He is ranked as the No. 24 running back and No. 6 player from Michigan in the 2026 class. He is also listed as the No. 351 overall prospect in the class.

Amachree is scheduled to take an official visit to Michigan State in a few weeks on June 1. He doesn’t currently have a known commitment date, but I wouldn’t be surprised if an announcement in the Spartans’ favor comes out of that weekend’s visit. We will need to keep a close eye on his recruitment over the next few weeks as it appears Michigan State will be adding another four-star prospect to its 2026 class.
