Taraji P. Henson modeled a monochrome white aesthetic at the amfAR Gala Cannes 2025 on Wednesday with a Gaurav Gupta gown and Rene Caovilla sandals.

Henson, who has been working styling team Wayman and Micah, went with a look from Gaurav Gupta’s fall 2024 couture collection. The intricate white gown featured an asymmetrical design with cut outs at the bodice, a high slit at the left thigh and a scarf draped over just one shoulder. She leaned further into asymmetry with a long dangling earring on one side and a sparkling cuff bracelet on one wrist.

Explaining the collection on its website, the label reveals, “‘Jyotirgamaya,’ a Sanskrit term resonant with the spiritual journey from darkness to light, serves as the guiding muse for this collection.”

Henson matched her dress to a pair of sinuous high heel sandals from Rene Caovilla. She showcased the brand’s Cleo style, which features two slender straps across the foot and a spiraling strap wrapping several times around the ankle — with a snake head at the top adding a bit of edge to the set. Henson donned a white crystal-embellished version of the silhouette.

The actress has been dressing up in a slew of designer looks while in Cannes amidst the 78th Cannes Film Festival, among them a Golden Goose ensemble and an Oscar de la Renta gown paired with Giuseppe Zanotti sandals.
