Cape Cod and Islands high school spring state tournament schedule


The Massachusetts Interscholastic Athletic Association state tournament for the high school spring season has arrived.

The tennis brackets have been released, while baseball, softball, lacrosse and boys volleyball will come out this week.

There were 12 Cape and Islands boys tennis teams that made the playoffs, with Martha’s Vineyard being the highest ranked at No. 2 in Division 3. Cape Cod Academy (No. 7), Falmouth (No. 9) and Nauset (No. 25 will join the Vineyarders in Div. 3. Monomoy is the highest ranked team at third in Div. 4, while Sturgis West (No. 6), Falmouth Academy (No. 12), Sandwich (No. 13), Bourne (No. 14), Nantucket (No. 18), Dennis-Yarmouth (No. 22), and Mashpee (No. 28) will also play in Div. 4.

For girls tennis, they are right there with the boys with 11 playoff teams. St. John Paul II is the the highest overall seed at second in Div. 3, while Martha’s Vineyard are right behind them at third. Nauset (No.17), Falmouth (No. 19), Cape Cod Academy (No. 24), and Sandwich (No. 27) will also hit the courts in Div. 3. Monomoy takes the top spot in Div. 4 at third, but all the Cape and Islands teams will host their first playoff game. Nantucket (No. 8), Mashpee (No. 11), Sturgis East (No. 14), and Bourne (No. 16) will join the Sharks in Div. 4.
